Layli Rohani
writer, performer, artist
Growing up in the Pacific Northwest with a love for performing and the arts, my drive to create has been there since I was a child. I told my first story at just over a year old--a factual incident in which I tried to eat a ladybug--and have been obsessed with storytelling ever since. With my love for animals of all shapes and sizes, and my opinion that the world is too serious and needs more whimsy, my work tends to encapsulate talking creatures, fun adventures, and a heightened sense of reality.
I graduated high school from Arts & Communication Magnet Academy with an endorsement in Writing. I then went on to get my Associate’s degree in Communications from Cuesta College and a Bachelor's degree in Theatre Arts from Cal Poly SLO.
My work has been featured in Cal Poly OWN, Venus Theatre’s Frozen Women Flowing Thoughts anthology, and Chaotic Merge Magazine. You can find a full catalogue of my playwriting works on New Play Exchange.
